2011 winter hijab trends

Since I began with this blog in 2009, I started to notice how every day we have new hijabis blogging, and more Muslim women are now opening their minds to fashion, I believe because be covered doesn't means you can not be fashionable, I have notice too that more of the Muslim women in non-Muslim countries are worried to use hijab because they guess they will look old fashionable, you know for what is said that we Muslims live in the 14Th century, so more of this sis now thanks to all this hijabis blogging are seeing how you can wear hijab and be fashionable at the same time.

In fact we see now how many of this great European designers are turning their main styles to Arab women (probably because they are who has more money now thanks to the development of the Arab countries) so we see how( let's mention Swarovsky company) are launching full collections all inspired in the Arab world, which in more of the cases they call Muslim World, but the thing is that we Muslim are Elegant (Commercial for Muslim Elegance presented by That's me hehehehhe), Fashionable and the most important we obey Allah Order when we use our hijab, for that our fashion style is now becoming a big hit in all the world.

OK girls here are some hijab styles for this 2011, may Allah bless you and all your relatives and give you the best on this year and the years coming insh'allah!
The basics in more of the cases are the colors, textures and fabrics when choose a hijab, and at the end the style to wrap it, there are fabrics that can be used for some hijab styles while there are others that will not be good for all the styles.

So when you choose a hijab don't go only for the color but for the kind of fabric of what is made of.

For this style you need one or more under scarves in different colors, an oblong scarf a bit long to tied for behind your head and bring the rest in front to cover your neck and finish in the back again.
To wrap your hijab in this style you need either a full under scarf or an oblong scarf wrapped in Spanish style, then wrap an other oblong scarf as a bandanna and tied on one side of your head.
This one is my favorite :) , made with 3 bandannas, and 1 oblong scarf and 1 square scarf.
For this style you need one or more under scarves in different colors, an oblong scarf a bit long to tied for behind your head and bring the rest in front to cover your neck and finish on one of the sides. Same as above but secure it with a pin on the back of your head.
Simple and beautiful, you need a full under scarf and an oblong scarf.
for this style you need an under scarf (Cotton to keep the hijab on its place), an oblong scarf wrapped in Spanish style and a square scarf to Tie it on the knot of the fist scarf.

For this one you need a under scarf or you can wrap other scarf like a bonnet( to give volume), an oblong scarf and a bandana.

OK girls here are some hijab styles for this 2011, may Allah bless you and all your relatives and give you the best on this year and the years coming insh'allah!
If you notice something wrong in this post is probably because I'm writing while doing the laundry :)

To much money, to much free time, to much vacations, that's the problem!

Apparently now in Dubai are having this trouble of abandoned cars from all around the city so the government is giving a notice period of 14 days to the owner to move the car from the place, if he doesn't then the government come and remove it from the street, arguing that
this undermines the safety of residents, disrupts traffic flow, deprives the public of their right to use the parking and roads, and inflicts damage on public property.
An abandoned car is picked up by Abu Dhabi Municipality after a notice period of 14 days.

Towing away abandoned vehicles from public places, streets and pavements is done after close monitoring by the concerned inspectors of the municipality after a 14-day notice period is issued, followed by affixing a notice to remove the vehicle within 24 hours. failing which it will be sent to a designated impounding area.

If the owner takes a long time to report to the impounding site, actions are then taken accordingly.

And now you have thousands (yap, thousands) of Emirati citizens worried because they have to go on vacations for probably longer than a month and if they leave their cars on public places, this cars get dirty and then the government came and say that the car is abandoned so they give this 14 days of period to the owner move his car, which will never happen since the owner is not even in the country, but the way, if they live in the most futuristic, rich and luxury city, where do they go on vacations, I don't guess they want to go to Disney, right?.

So here is my advice, you people who has money and nothing to do and want make even more money, make a parking business for vacationist and give the car wash service so the government will not bother the owners of this cars and you will have a very good cash for that.

Torrejas , French Toast

My son has just discovered the Delicious Torrejas, also called Torrijas or French toast, and now every day wants Mommy make to him his torrejas.
In Mexico we use to eat this Torrejas on Semana Santa (Holy-Week, when I was still Catholic ok) and One of my favorite Spices in all the world is the Cinnamon, and when you make this Torrejas you can not forget the Cinnamon, the sweet smell and delicious taste among the nuts and dried grapes is just yummy!! My mom use to make a kind of syrup with Piloncillo,Cinnamon and clove to dip the torrejas on the syrup, let me tell you that I can finish the whole bunch of torrejas my self, but always ended with stomachache probably to much sugar.

for the syrup add some piloncillo, Cinnamon and cloves with water

here is the simple recipe

Ingredients
•32 fl. oz of milk
•olive oil
•16 oz. honey
•16 oz. sugar
•8 eggs
•Slices of bread from a day before, should be a bit hard.

-Mix the milk, sugar and eggs in a deep bowl
-Dip the slices of bread in the sugared milk and eggs and fry in a pan with boiling oil until golden brown. Then drain well.
Place the 'torrejas' on a serving dish and pour honey over them. It is also traditional to add sugared milk to the serving dish so that the 'torrijas' soak it up and become more spongy. or make a syrup with the piloncillo a bit of cinnamon and clove, let it boil for some minutes and add it to the dish of torrejas.

***you can put some ice cream instead the sugared milk or the piloncillo syrup, or some fruits, any way the options are endless. enjoy!

Chivasso BV is an interior fabrics and wallpaper editor. their headquarters are in Zoetermeer, in the Netherlands, but they have showrooms all over the world

Don't you love the Harmony of colors and style?

Together with his parents, Richard Schutte built up a successful business of 4 interior decoration shops. A few years later in 1987 he decided, with the support of his wife Ellen Steentjes, to start his own wholesale business.

Initially they sold their collections exclusively in the Netherlands but soon decided to expand their business which now spans the globe. They started creating their own collections under a new brand name: Chivasso. In 1991 the first collections were launched under the name Chivasso. By 1995 their collection was large enough to show at the Heimtextil in Frankfurt, Germany.

In 1999 contact was made with the Jab Anstoetz Gruppe in Germany for possible collaboration. By the year 2000 the deal was done and JAB Anstoetz became the major shareholder.

This are few samples of their work, and I think they are really simple and beautiful and also easy to try by yourself, with the addition of some colorful fabrics and small details you can achieve this tranquility and Harmonie at your home, hope you like it!

Most Authentic Definition of God in Any Religion

"The Concept of God espoused by a religion cannot be judged by merely observing the practice of its followers. "

It is quite common for the followers of many religions to be ignorant of the concept of God in their scriptures, It is therefore better to analyse the concept of God in any religion by referring to its holy scriptures.

This are one of the points that Dr. Zakir Naik a medical doctor by professional training, renowed as a dynamic international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion talks about in his book called "The Concept of God in Major Religions".
I read this book and I can say that is one more prove of how Islam is the true religion, it also put on test with the Surah Ikhlas one of the "god-man' Osho Rajneesh one among the multitude of "spiritual teachers" produced by India, a very interesting analysis of how there is no other god but Allah.

In his book he tackles the issue of existence of God from a different perspective including starting off with how different people view God. It first categorizes the belief of the major religions into 5 types of religions. Then, it describes the concept of God for world's several major religions including Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism, and others. The book ends with a detailed analysis of concept of God in Islam and how it perfects the concept of God.

Real Gold Tattoo Latest trend in Dubai

Hello I hope all of you had had a special Eid Al-Adha in company of all your loved ones :) , Let's back again to this blog, so here are the latest trend in Dubai the city of Luxury and what more luxury than the gold itself, forget henna and sparkling jewellery because a new business in Dubai is offering temporary 24-carat gold tattoos as the ideal body adornment for weddings and other special occasions at a modest starting price of $50, an affordable option given rising gold prices.

Precious Skin has two outlets in Dubai - one at the luxury, sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel - which will design and apply body tattoos made of 99.9% gold or platinum to add a bit of glitz to your personal style.

"It's a revolution in the body art business, it's the first time we can use 24 carat gold and platinum on skin," said Arnaud Flambeau, managing director of Flambeau Luxury Trading and Precious Skin.

Originally a Japanese concept, Flambeau thought the idea would catch on in the Gulf, where many women have temporary henna tattoos applied for weddings and special occasions.

"We have had a lot of interest so far because it's a new idea and a new product that's between jewelry, makeup and accessories and it's a lot easier to make the decision to get a gold tattoo than buy new jewelry," said Flambeau.

A thin film of gold or platinum is used to make the tattoo which is then applied to the skin and can last for up to a week, he said.

"More elaborate and larger designs can cost up to $5,500, and the idea really is just to have something that is very unique and new," Flambeau said.

"We plan to have a total of 25 branches in Dubai over the coming year and by January we will be in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain."

Branded as the city of gold, Dubai's gold retail sector has faced huge drops in sales as cash strapped consumers struggled to keep demand up with rising prices for the yellow metal.

Spot gold gained 0.3% to $1,407.34 an ounce on Thursday, just off an all-time high of $1,424.10 hit on Tuesday. Well i wonder if this 24 carat gold tattoo could be the next tattoo or body modification trendsetter? I Thought that Dubai people only uses gold to wrap their vehicle such as this Golden Audi R8 But now you can use a 24 carat gold as a tattoo on your body!!
